Publication Rules
 

ALICANTO considers that the attention to the rules of publication is an essential key in the pre-production process of the article, so it thanks in advance the attention that the authors grant in this regard in order to simplify the process of revision, evaluation and edition. For this, it is proposed to consider the following sections:

 
  • Extension, margins and typeface: Articles should be written in double-sized letter size, Verdana font size 10, with four margins of three centimeters and numbered pages. In relation to the extension, the requirements are: research articles between ten and twenty-five pages including the bibliography; the essays are shorter works, usually six to eight pages; and the bibliographic review are works of 10 to 15 pages.

  • Title: This should:
    1. Be clear and in accordance with the content of the proposal.
    2. Be written in Spanish and English.
    3. Have a maximum length of 14 words or 80 characters.
    4. Be written in Verdana font size 16, justified text.
    5. If there are subtitles, they must be in Verdana font size 14, with a maximum length of 60 characters.

  • Author Data: They must be placed just after the title with alignment to the right indicating academic degree, the full name of the author (s), institution to which it belongs and email (these will appear once the work is approved for its publication).

  • Summary: It must be written in Spanish and English with an extension between 250 and 300 words.

  • Scientific articles: The structure must include: a) an introduction detailing the main purpose and objectives of the research on the subject; b) the methodology used, with emphasis on design, selected sample, techniques for collecting and analyzing information, in addition to including the most relevant findings and conclusions and recommendations, if any.

  • Literature review articles: They should refer to the motivations that gave rise to the work, that is, the concerns, problems and objectives, as well as the main comparisons and contrast of ideas that arise from the topic and the conclusions that the work generates.

  • Essays: It is suggested to start with a brief introduction where the proposed objective is revealed, as well as the main ideas to be developed and the conclusions and recommendations associated with the approach made by the author.

  • Keywords: They must be located just after the summary, in Spanish and English, and must be closely related to the content of the work. It includes between 3 and 5 keywords or short phrases (lexemes or descriptors).

  • Sections: They can vary according to the type of contribution. The recommendations in each case are:
    1. Research articles. It includes the following sections:
      1. Summary
      2. Introduction: Includes a description of the problem to be addressed and the research objectives.
      3. Theoretical foundation. It includes a review of the main theories that support research and previous background.
      4. Methodological approach: Includes the description of the design adopted in addition to the selection of techniques and instruments implemented to achieve the proposed objectives and information analysis techniques.
      5. Discussion of results: It must include the results obtained by applying the instruments and discussing the implications and / or derivations achieved from the results.
      6. Conclusions: It must be closely related to the proposed objectives and the implications associated with the work carried out.
      7. Bibliographic references.

    2. Bibliographic review. It must follow the structure presented below:
      1. Complete data of the work, including page numbers and the national registration data.
      2. Summary.
      3. The whole speech should be approached as an argumentation and position of the author in front of the work that is presented presenting the central problem at the beginning of the introduction.
      4. It is possible to structure by chapters and parts of the work with a complete synthesis of the content.

    3. Essays. They must follow the structure presented below:

      2. Introduction: It must show the main motivations of the work and objectives that are intended to be achieved with the essay.
      3. Thematic development: It must address the aspects to be highlighted within the essay. It can be structured by chapters and parts of the work with a complete synthesis of the content.
      4. Conclusions.

  • Bibliography: Must conform to the A.P.A. style manual

 

Curriculum. The author or authors must send, in a file attached to their contribution, a brief description of their curriculum (maximum 200 words and in paragraph forms), focusing on academic degrees, lines of research, main positions they have occupied and present job place.
